GRUYERE SWISS CUTS 2-6#
Gruyere is named after a village, in the Swiss Alps where it is originated. The source is cow’s milk only from the summer milking. Swiss Gruyere is a semi-firm, hard cheese pitted with tiny holes. It is a darker yellow and more dense and compact than its Emmental cousin.
The taste is a complexity of nutty, earthy flavors with a hint at fruit.

Used primarily as a table cheese and can be paired nicely with a Chardonnay or a Sauvignon Blanc. It is great melting cheese, used as a main ingrediate in such clasics as French Onion Soup. Available in 6 lb wheels.
